2400 block of Geary Blvd. 10 AM Residential Burglary Occurred between March 1 and 2. Forced entry of building’s storage unit. Wine taken.
Baker and Hayes Streets 10:50 PM Narcotics Case Officer Elieff arrested a 32 year old SF man on a local misdemeanor warrant and found cocaine in the man’s possession. The man was later released when the City Jail refused to accept him due to a medical condition. A warrant for the man’s arrest will be sought.
1200 block of Fell St. 4:45 PM Theft A 29 year old SF woman presented herself to a bank teller as an account holder and tried to withdraw $2,400. She could not answer bank security questions correctly and so the police were called. Officer Barnes investigated and arrested the woman for fraud. The account holder had suffered a loss of her ID card and checkbook in an auto burglary in the East Bay in February.
Golden Gate Park – Hippie Hill 4:20 PM Weapons Case Officer Doherty arrested a 40 year old Bayview District man for possessing a concealed knife.
1500 block of Haight St. 12:30 PM Theft Suspect stole a jacket from a store.
Haight and Cole Streets 2 PM Warrant Service Sergeant Koltzoff detained a man who had been seen swinging a hammer wildly. He arrested the 37 year old SF resident on a misdemeanor assault warrant issued in Oakland.
Masonic Ave. and Haight St. 5 PM Public Nuisance Officers found excrement on their parked police car and studied the video of a nearby store’s surveillance camera. They saw a local man empty his colostomy bag on the car. They searched the neighborhood and arrested the 29 year old SF man for disorderly conduct and for creating a public nuisance.
200 block of Noe St. 10:15 PM Fire Report SFFD extinguished a fire inside a laundromat. The cause appeared to be accidental.
Noe and Beaver Streets 10:50 PM Traffic Collision While assisting in the above fire investigation Officer Pedrini heard a collision nearby and cited a 24 year old OMI District man for driving without a license when he collided with a tree in a median strip.
Waller St. and Masonic Ave. 5:50 PM Weapons Case A motorist reported that a pedestrian brandished a handgun at him. The motorist followed the gunman and lost sight of the man on the 1400 block of Haight Street. Officer Gumpfer and posse closed down that block of Haight Street and searched every store for the gunman to no avail.
